Katie and Shaun's february wedding at Newton Hall started out sunny and fresh only it was not to last. The incessant wind and rain that just wouldn't let up didn't stop it being an utterly fantastic celebration.
Katie and Shaun invited us to spend the day with them and 25 of their closest friends and family to witness them sharing vows and promises on their wedding day. I feel honoured that this close knit group invited us in warmly and allowed us to capture some precious honest moments of affection and joy between them.
The ceremony room ready and dressed for the coming ceremony. I loved the rustic feel of the hessian tie backs and crates of Gypsohphila decorating the aisle.
The girls got ready in the Pinarello suite, one of Newton Hall's fabulous courtyard rooms
Nigel met the boys in the hall, shortly joined by the arrival of the guests.
Katie loved the Giannella suite, and for good reason - it's stunning, and so had arranged for her final preparations to take place in there. The carpets in this room are so soft, I need this carpet in my house!
The ceremony was intimate and very emotional, a beautiful moment to witness.
Capturing the fleeting moments of honest emotion between loved ones. To record and to preserve these moments for prosperity is such a great joy and privilege.
I love the quirky decor of Newton Hall, it makes for some great backgrounds for our pictures.
Katie and Shaun continued the rustic theme through into their wedding breakfast with hessian and lace table runners and chair ties.
After dinner, we couldn't resist heading back to the stairs for a few shots, this time with a little more elaborate lighting set ups.
Congratulations Katie and Shaun!!
