Bamburgh - Hannah and Jack
We drove up the coast to Bamburgh for Hannah and Jack’s festival-style wedding. They were married in the beautiful St Aidan’s church, walking afterward to the next-door field where they had hired and pitched three large tipi‘s. I loved their attention to detail, with their homemade bunting and macrame decorations, personalised event wristbands, and street food vans. After a bit of celebrating, and a bit of food, we kicked off our shoes and took a walk on the beach, and considering their wedding was on a Saturday in the summer, we were so lucky to have a nearly empty beach, with of course those iconic views of Bamburgh Castle.

“We have just got back from our mini-moon and would just like to say thank you so much. We haven’t been able to stop talking about our day and how much we enjoyed it. You guys played a massive part in it. We absolutely love the pictures, thank you so much! “ - Hannah and Jack
Newton Hall - Emily and Kieran
Emily and Keiran were married on an unseasonally warm February day at Newton Hall in Northumberland. After all of the awful weather that we had been having, it made such a nice change to see the sun come out. After their ceremony, and a bit of a mingle with their guests, Emily and Keiran joined us for a walk around the grounds for a few pictures, along with a quick trip to the beach for a few more. It was a fabulous day with a fantastic couple.

“Thank you for doing such an amazing job with our photos, we love them so much. The email with our gallery came through while we were on a safari in Sri Lanka, so we had a cocktail overlooking the beach while looking through them. It was a moment we’ll never forget. Thank you again for being amazing on the day, we couldn’t have asked for anything more.” - Emily and Kieran.
South Causey Inn - Danielle and Lee
“Wow, we love the photos and it feels like we have relived our wedding. We can't thank you enough, they are just what we wanted - so many natural photos!”
Danielle and Lee had planned for a summer wedding in 2020, but, like it did so many others, the pandemic scuppered their plans and they had to postpone. With 2021 dates going so fast, they struggled to find a day that both the venue and registrar were available for, but finally, they secured a date in November and a ceremony time of 3.30pm. We knew we were in for a bit of a challenge with only 10 minutes of daylight after their wedding ceremony to photograph family photos and a few portraits but with their awesome wedding guests on board, we did it!
They were married in the Tanfield Suite at South Causey inn, moving to the Cobbles Bar to celebrate with their family and friends, following on with a wedding breakfast and evening party in the Durham Suite. It was a fabulous day with a relaxed vibe and was great fun to photograph.
Healey Barn - Eleanor and Adam
“The photos are incredible, I don’t even have the words to describe how perfectly they capture the day! I’m gutted that it’s actually over this time. Keep doing what you're doing as you’re amazing at it! Eleanor x”
”Just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you for both last Friday and May, covering Eleanor and Adam's wedding days. You were both fantastic and the photographs from May were wonderful, so we are really looking forward to seeing the ones from Friday. You made them both so relaxed during both days with your professional manner, it was as if you were part of the party, we didn't realise you were there taking photos which is always a good sign. It's been lovely to get to know you and give us some amazing memories. As I said on Friday having to deal with the same family, for the same wedding in 5 months....you need a medal!!! Best wishes to you both for the future, Neil and Jan xx” - (Parents of the bride.)
In October, day 2 of Eleanor and Adam’s wedding day came around. They were married in May - also at Healey Barn, with a reduced number of guests to fall in line with the restrictions at the time, and while it was a wonderful day in every way, it was so good to see them finally having the large get together and party that they couldn’t have before. It was so good to spend more time with these two amazing people and their awesome families.
It was also awesome to work alongside one of our fav wedding videographers - Abigail Grace, on both days.

Le Petit Chateau - Rebecca and Elliott
“Thank you for capturing our special day! The both of you make a fantastic team and we consider ourselves very lucky to have had you as our photographer. A special thanks to Chrissie for helping with bridal preparations on the morning and for keeping all the girls calm and organised on the day. Thank you also to Nigel for staying so late into the evening to capture those extra shots. Thank you to both of you for being patient with both our families for the group photos we can’t wait to see how these turn out. Once again, thank you for having such a huge impact on our day. It would not have been the same without you there! Best wishes, Mr & Mrs Cornwell / Elliot & Becky”
“We have had a look through and they are absolutely perfect - it was like reliving the day. You truly are the best in the business!”
Rebecca and Elliott are two of the warmest and most welcoming people you could hope to meet, and it was a joy to capture their wedding day memories. They were married in October at their local church, St John’s in Westerhope. The heavens opened just before their wedding ceremony however, thankfully it cleared up as we made our way up to their reception venue, Le Petit Chateau in Northumberland. It was a little nippy in the air, it was October after all, but no one seemed to mind as they enjoyed their drinks reception in the stunning grounds of the chateau. Le Petit Chateau is one of our local venues who also are happy to invite guests of the four-legged variety, so it was also lovely to get to know their gorgeous little French Bulldog, Lily - and she totally stole my heart!
It was a fabulous day with a fabulous group of people who we look forward to seeing again in 2024 for bridesmaid Laura’s wedding!
Shotton Grange - Amy and Mark
“Me and Mark wanted to thank you again for being our wonderful photographers yesterday. From keeping us calm in the morning and capturing some special quiet moments, to gathering us all together for fun photos. You were both so patient and friendly and a fantastic couple to have taking photos at our wedding. Thank you again! We are so grateful.”
“Wow! Where to even start… you capture the most raw and magical moments and we have had the best time sat looking through them crying and laughing. Myself (the bride) find certain situations incredibly overwhelming and you both helped to put me at ease throughout the whole day… although most of it is a blur to us both. We are forever thankful to you both for helping us capture memories to cherish for a lifetime. We cannot wait to share these with our family and friends.”
Sister venue to The Parlour at Blagdon, Shotton Grange opened its doors in 2019 and so is still a fairly new venue to our area - especially considering much of its first two years were spent during a pandemic, but despite this, it has become very popular. The classic design of the Manor house, and the rustic vibe of the coach house, along with the fabulous walled garden are ideal for a relaxed wedding with an outdoorsy feel.
Amy and Mark booked us for their 2020 wedding at the Parlour at Blagdon way back in 2017. A year later, they were given the option to marry in Shotton Grange instead. They loved the new venue so jumped in feet first and went with it. Like so many, their wedding which was due to take place in March 2020 had to be postponed. Finally, over four years after they first booked us, their wedding day arrived. Their day was filled with lovely moments, from Mark shedding a tear when we saw his bride walking down the aisle, to their little girl keenly getting involved as they said their “I do’s.” I loved Amy’s Boho style and stunning florals, and her and Mark’s laid-back, fun-loving nature made it a joy to work with them.
