Ellingham Hall - Grace and Shaun
Ellingham Hall in Northumberland has always been one of our favourite venues to work at. We love its art deco decor and relaxed friendly vibe, so when Grace and Shaun got in touch to ask us to photograph their March wedding day, we were delighted. Their wedding day was everything you could hope for a wedding to be. A gorgeous couple who are deeply in love, a fabulous venue, fair weather, and a wonderful group of people to share the day with all topped off with some amazing music provided by Andy Usher. It was a day filled with laughter and fun and was a joy to photograph.
It was also fabulous to catch up with Grace’s sister Amanda and her husband Matthew whose wedding we photographed at the Ramside Hall Hotel back in 2012, and family friends Colin and Susan who are the parents of Rachel whose wedding we photographed at Langley Castle in 2010, and Laura whose wedding we photographed at Thief Hall later in 2022.

Healey Barn - Victoria and Daniel
“I’ve just sat in a bar with a glass of wine and cried whilst looking through them on my phone you guys are amazing xxxxxxx”
Victoria and Daniel were due to be married at Healey Barn in April 2020, but Covid 19 scuppered their plans and they had to postpone. They were married in their local Church in August 2020 but continued with their plans for a larger celebration at Healey Barn on a later date.
Day 2 of Victoria and Daniel’s wedding, consisting of a vow renewal and all-day celebrations came around in July 2021, They were the same wonderful, warm, and fun-loving pair that we knew from the previous year, but with one exception, they were also now parents! It was so wonderful to meet their beautiful baby girl and fantastic to see them finally enjoying the large get-together and party that they couldn’t have before.

South Causey Inn - Sarah and Dominic
“We just can't thank you enough for all of your help and support in making our wedding day so perfect. You both put us at ease before the ceremony and kept us right as you made sure the day ran smoothly. We had the most wonderful day and a lot of it was thanks to your help! We had such fun at the lake and was so nice to get some time together. It was such a great atmosphere throughout and I hope you enjoyed your day too despite being at work! Sarah and Dominic were married last September at their parish church, Our Blessed Lady Immaculate in Washington Village, afterwards heading over to the South Causey Inn to celebrate with their friends and family. They were both a joy to work with, their fun loving natures and love for the outdoors lead us to explore the nearby lake for some pictures of just the two of them. Choosing not to do everything by the book, they also skipped out on the traditional speeches and first dance, instead just enjoying themselves with those that they love. It was fantastic to spend the day with this awesome couple.

Newton Hall - Georgina and Richard
What a cracker this wedding was! In June, we travelled up to Newton Hall, a stunning Georgian coastal wedding venue in Northumberland for Georgina and Richard’s wedding. As we travelled up the A1, seeing the weather clear, thinking about the day ahead, and this awesome couple, we already knew it was going to be amazing.
We had the chance to get to know Georgina and Richard before the wedding and we all really hit it off. Their relaxed yet vibrant and fun personalities make them such an absolute joy to be around, and it was no different on their big day.
Newton Hall is a venue that we have visited many times before, its classic exterior and its quirky interior make it such a fun venue to photograph. Alone, the venue is perfect, but with the stunning beach close by, it just gets better and better. After dinner we headed out into the beach for some stunning portraits, the golden sunshine made for amazing evening light.
As always it was a pleasure to work alongside the very talented Janet and Chris from One Digital Image, Paul Lytton and of course Craig and the rest of the staff at Newton Hall.

Ellingham Hall - Kirsty and James
Who could not love a wedding in October? Yes, true, you are playing a little game of chance when it comes to the weather, but the colours, the gorgeous hues of greens, reds, golds and browns as the trees begin to change, it fills my heart with joy to see them. On a (mostly) fine and bright day like Kirsty and James’ wedding at Ellingham Hall, October is a photographers dream come true.
Ellingham Hall in Northumberland is a dream venue to start with, the classical 1920’s styling, mature grounds and elegant exterior go a long way to impress anyone fortunate enough to visit, but what really made this day special was Kirsty and James themselves. Two kind souls, genuine and warm and it was clear to see where they got it from, their parents and families welcomed us in and made us feel very much a part of the family. We are beyond thankful to you all.
What a stunning wedding theirs was, and an absolute joy to photograph. I could go on and on about how fantastic their day was, but why not let the photographs speak for themselves?
