Beamish Museum - Carol and Keith

Right from the moment that we met Carol and Keith we knew that their wedding was going to be pretty amazing.  Their playful nature, wit and humour make them great fun to spend time with.  It really was a giggle a minute with these two.  Carol and Keith became a couple in their 20's and have a grown up daughter but chose to wait all these years before tying the knot.  When the time came, they knew that they wanted to do it a little differently.  It venue had to be a little unusual, the day relaxed and most importantly, there needed to be lots of fun.  They chose Beamish, the world famous open air museum in County Durham.  With so many amazing places to take photographs we were in our element.  For the evening, we all hopped over to Beamish Hall for a bite to eat and a little dancing.

Just as much in love as they ever were, Carol and Keith are proof that love can last through the years and can become stronger and deeper as the years go by.  Congratulations to you both and thank you for inviting us to share your special day with you.

Beamish Hall and Palace Gardens - Pam and Steven

East meets west in an explosion of fun, laughter, and colour for Pam and Steven's wedding last September.  Their traditional wedding was complete with door games for the groom, a tea ceremony, four outfit changes and a huge wedding banquet for all of their family and friends at Palace gardens in Newcastle's china town.  Pam looked stunning in each of her wedding outfits, each delicately embroidered and cut to perfection.  

They were married at Beamish Hall in County Durham in an elegant western inspired wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast for their closest family and friends heading over to Palace gardens the next day for a larger celebration.

Slaley Hall - Sam and Shaun

For our last wedding of August last year we travelled to the beautiful Northumberland countryside and to elegant Slaley Hall for the wedding of Sam and Shaun.  They set the date and chose to tie the know almost exactly ten years to the day after they first became a couple - their stunning wedding cake was designed to feature these special dates alongside the date that they got engaged.   

The day was interchangeable. Sudden rain showers throughout the day attempted to disrupt the flow but a little forward planning meant that the weather didn't become too much of an issue.  The whiskey snug became a great choice for their family photographs and looked very stylish and the corridors with their mirrors and interesting lighting offered us an opportunity for some creative portraits.  Thankfully the rain came down in short bursts so we were also able to get back outside for a few more relaxed photographs of the two of them together.

Sam's beautiful updo was styled by super talented Lisa Cameron, her wedding shoes featuring a sixpence sunk into the insole of the shoe were from Charlotte Mills, and the bride also chose to personalise a pair converse for the evening.

Wynyard Hall - Vicky and Tom

Wynyard Hall's grand pillars, state rooms, ornamental lake and private chapel make it one of the most admired buildings and one of the most sought after wedding venues in the uk.  It is always fantastic to photograph here and so it was great to return once again to photograph Vicky and Tom' big day last August.  

Their love for one another was clear, Tom overcome with emotion could not take his eyes off of his beautiful new wife and she beamed with happiness the whole entire day.  Vicky and her girls enjoyed a morning of relaxing and pampering in the hall's own beauty salon the Reef before they got dressed for the big day while Tom and the boys met Nigel in the Wellington bar for a few getting ready shots and pre wedding drinks. They were made man and wife in the charming Brooks Chapel, located within the estate of Wynyard Hall before heading outside.  After much celebration on the terrace, canapés eaten and the string quartet listened to, they all headed inside to dine in the magnificent ballroom.  

It was a fantastically fun day with a great couple and a great crowd.  It was a pleasure as always to work along side Paul Lytton the Magician, Coco Luminaire supplying the light up letters and of course the fab team at Wynyard Hall.
