Le Petit Chateau - Laura and Dean

In May, we found ourselves back at Le Petit Chateau, a gorgeous wedding venue in the pretty village of Otterburn in Northumberland, for Laura and Dean’s wedding. They’d told us beforehand that they were going to be nervous in front of the camera, but honestly, you wouldn’t have known it, they were amazing! They were such a fun couple to work with, full of energy and life, and clearly crazy about each other. The guests got on board with the fun vibe of the day too, from Dean’s best man, who when asked during the ceremony for the ring, produced a ring pop, to the flower girl and page boy dancing in the aisle while they signed the register. Their parents even saw the fun of it all and pulled some crazy poses during the family photos. It’s a long post today, but make sure you get to the bottom, the pictures of the flower girl and page boy dancing together after the first dance are adorable!

Wynyard Hall - Laura and Ryan

Wynyard Hall with its elegant architecture, impressive high ceilings, and magnificent state rooms can’t fail to impress. We have worked at Wynyard Hall many times in the past, however, it’s always a treat to go back. There are so many wonderful places for photographs, and we are constantly finding new spots for pictures. Wynyard Hall was the perfect choice for Laura and Ryan’s wedding day celebrations. To suit the style of the venue, Laura and Ryan opted for a traditional theme, with a blush, white, and gold colour scheme. Stunning florals in pink and white decorated the ballroom, alongside blossom tree table centers, floating candles, and a huge 4 tiered wedding cake. Their ceremony took place in St Helen’s Church in the village of Kelloe, and it was one of the prettiest churches I have come across. It was a gorgeous day with a lovely couple, and a joy to photograph.

Le Petit Chateau - Laura and Daniel

We were back up to the pretty village of Otterburn in Northumberland for Laura and Daniel’s wedding at Le Petit Chateau. We first met Daniel when we photographed his sister Lucy’s wedding at the Vermont Hotel in Newcastle back in 2017, and when he and Laura got in touch and asked us to photograph their big day, we were overjoyed. Laura looked stunning in her ballgown-style wedding dress as she walked down the aisle with her dad. Halfway down, she took her Grandad’s hand and he walked with them the rest of the way. It was clear to see how much that moment meant to him. The rest of the day continued with drinks outside, a few photos in the stunning Mediterranean-inspired gardens of Le Petit Chateau, and then some fabulous speeches before their meal. It was wonderful to be a small part of their fantastic day.

South Causey Inn - Lauren and Daniel

South Causey Inn is such a versatile wedding venue, with several different options to choose from for your ceremony and celebrations, all fabulously decorated, and with stunning views of the Beamish Valley. Lauren and Daniel chose the Old Barn for their wedding day. Spring had finally sprung and everything was looking green and fresh again. The sun was out, and there was barely a cloud in the sky. Lauren and her girls got ready in the Pamper Room, while the lads were in one of the courtyard rooms. After their ceremony, and a few drinks with their guests in the Old Barn bar, we all headed out to enjoy the glorious weather. We even managed to squeeze in a quick trip to the lake before they sat for their meal. It was a fun day with a great couple.
